10-Step Accessibility Challenge
Explore an accessibility training course I created for UND faculty, staff, and students in Blackboard.

The Context

The Problem: UND faculty and staff were unaware of accessibility best practices

The Solution: Develop a self-paced course in Blackboard Ultra
The Audience

UND faculty, staff, and students

No technical knowledge

Unfamiliar with digital accessibility
Challenge Outcomes
By the end of the training course, I wanted participants to be able to do all of the following:

Identify and use accessibility checkers and tools like Blackboard Ally to check the accessibility of their course resources

Identify common acessibility issues in digital documents and resources
-
Fix common accessibility issues in Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Blackboard Ultra
-
Use easy workarounds to PDFs (permalinks and original documents)
-
Edit video captions in YuJa
